Alex Dias’ 24 proved to be the highest score in a match dominated by bowlers as Green beat Red by 41 runs. Alex was 9th out after opening the batting as the Green Team managed just 83. Suhail Parry took 5 for 6 and was well supported by Kavish who took three wickets. Shameem put paid to the Red’s hopes of chasing this modest total with a brilliant opening spell, bowling his four overs for just three runs, and taking three wickets. Thumeera took 3/11 and no-one reached double figures as the Reds were bowled out for 42. Suhail and Shameem were jointly awarded man-of-the-match honours.

Green also won the first match beating Blue in an intense 7 run win. Rajender made 25 to lead the Greens to 112, despite nick Baxter’s 2/4 in four overs. In reply Abbas’s 37 took the Blues to the brink of victory, but they fell 7 runs short. Abbas and Rajendar were jointly award man of the match honours.
