This summer, the league committee has recommended that qualified umpires be compensated at a rate of $20/ game. In order to qualify for this, prospective umpires must be willing to score matches on CricHQ, using their own device if required, plus pass a basic test on the Laws of the Game and playing conditions. The test may be retaken if needed. A mark of 26/30 is required to pass. All those interested in officiating should take this test as soon as possible.
Please note that umpires are responsible for saving the match balls after games and returning them to the league committee; if this is not done, then only $10/ umpire will be paid.
