We had a good turn out for our first recreational match, with five from each of the junior and women’s programme getting an introduction to hard ball cricket. The players were divided into two teams- the Shamrocks and Terra Novas, named after two of the historic clubs that played in the St. John’s League in the 19th century. The game was played as 15 overs/ side with the Shamrocks coming out on top. The main objective was gaining experience of the full form of the game, and having fun, and both were achieved!
