NL Tigers were founded in January 2019, and is the newest member of Cricket NL. Even though the club hasn’t even been a year old, it consists of players who have been playing cricket in this province for number of years. Besides having loads of experience in ranks, NL Tigers also consist of energized youths and newcomers who will be playing their first summer league this year. The main objective of NL Tigers is to promote cricket in this beautiful province of NL and encourage youth in order to join forces and work towards that goal. NL Tigers first involvement with the Cricket NL was in winter 2019, where 3 teams from NL Tigers participated in the tournament. The club always wants to give equal opportunities, despite the amount of experience one possesses, hence the club decided to make 3 equally strong teams in order to accommodate everyone. One of the teams also ended up winning their respective championship and while the other two teams had a great season as well and discovered some fresh talents for the summer league. We thrive on our energy, spirit, and “never give up” attitude on the cricket field, and we look to achieve some big objectives during our first summer league campaign.
