In August 11 matches, the Green squad defeated Red by a comfortable 47 runs. The Greens got off to a good start with a 45 run opening partnership between Gurman and KK (20). Kavish brought himself on and bowled KK, but Gurman hit hard and often to reach 37 before Hummam had him leg before. Senthill came in and hit two impressive straight sixes, and Farhad and Saravana managed an all run four in the final over. The Reds got off to a poor start, as Shameem bowled Kranthi, and then had Hummam well caught in the deep by KK. He took 2/4 in three overs. Kavish came in and hit his first ball for six over square leg, and the Reds were in with a chance as long he stayed in. Saravana however made the crucial breakthrough, having him well caught by Farhad diving forward at point, and the Reds subsided to 85 all out from 15.4 overs. Sarawana’s 3/17 earned him the man of the match award.
