The Eagles and Hurricanes showed their passion for the game by choosing to play their 40 overs match in less than ideal weather. Hurricanes batted first making an impressive 316/6. Wahid (63) got them off to a good start but then Mahe Alam Chowdhry took over making the second century of the weekend, and his first in Newfoundland. He made 102* coming it at 5, taking 74 balls, with nine fours. He put on 103 with Ruyel Miyah (31). reaching the landmark in the final over. The total was bolstered by 62 extras as Eagles used eight bowlers.

It was always going to be challenging chasing such a large total, and the Eagles fell well short, bowled out for 195 in the 39th over. Abdul Rafeh Rahat made 40, and Adeel Illyas 60 but the rest of the batting struggled. Iftekhar Masud took three wickets, and Madhu Bandara and Wahidur Rahman two each.
