Muhammad Ali Raza:

“I am standing as Vice President for CricketNL and hope that the members consider my candidacy worthy of support.

I have been a resident of Newfoundland for the past 6 years and have been an active member of the cricketing community since 2018. I have a solid understanding of the game and that has helped me to win various honors over the years.

Like for many of our members, cricket is a childhood passion that I grew up playing. The cricket-playing population is steadily growing in NL and there will be a lot of responsibility on CricketNL to fulfill their expectations of conducting cricket activities smoothly. I believe that I can play an important role in this organization to fulfill these expectations.

As a board member, I would aim to ensure that correct procedures are followed and that the board is held accountable for its decisions. The previous and current members, especially the seniors, have contributed a lot to the cricketing community and I aim to continue this with significant improvements i.e., better standards and clarity.

I have always tried to play in the spirit of the game and like any other human being, I have always tried to improve myself by accepting and working on any mistakes made in the past. I have always been fair and impartial in my dealings with the cricketing community, which meant putting friendships and team loyalty aside and I will continue to do so.

I decided to volunteer my time for this position because I have recently graduated from MUN and have no plans to resettle anywhere else for the next 3-4 years. I believe my experience will be an asset for CricketNL and I humbly seek your support.”

Tendai Mudunge:

Mr. Tendai Mudunge has been an active member of the cricketing community in Newfoundland since 2018. He plays regularly in the summer, winter and fall indoor and outdoor leagues. Some of his notable achievements for the better of cricket in Newfoundland include helping out with juniors and sirens, serving as a Director on Board from 2020-2021, promoting cricket activities on social media, applying for grants and most importantly keeping batters entertained with some killer chin music.
