The Association was established in mid 2010. No facilities for hard-ball cricket were in place, so the main activities consisted of social tape-ball cricket at Kelly’s Brook Park, with two exhibition matches.
The first match was played under lights at King George V park, where the Newfoundland B’ys lost to the Labrador Ducks by 27 runs.
The second match was played in the indoor soccer field in Pleasantville, where a town team took on a squad representing the University – a thrilling match that was tied and decided on a super-over.
