Kathir Chenthilnathan was selected for the Eastern Fury in the opening game of the National Cricket League. The Fury lost by three wickets in a low scoring game but Kathir made his mark with a couple of catches and a run out. He batted number 10 and struck a single bounday before being standed with 4*.
